Another KCPD Officer Story

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City Missouri Police Officer was arrested early Wednesday morning for driving under the influence.


According authorities, KCPD Officer Megan Laffoon was pulled over in Clay County by a Missouri Highway Patrol trooper around 3:20 a.m. on Wednesday morning.

Missouri Highway Patrol troopers allege that Laffoon assaulted a trooper and resisted arrest. She now faces four counts, including DUI, lane violation, assault of a law enforcement officer and resisting arrest.

Can you say - DUH ... sheez.

Policemen Perks

Ok, so this morning as I was traveling down the rain-soaked highway on the way to work I observed a Kansas City police detective's car - speeding AND tailgating. Now, there were no lights flashing, no sirens blaring ... I repeat, it was a detective's car - not a patrol car. So, what gives them the right to break multiple laws? He wasn't just tailgating a little bit .. he was so up on these cars that he had to slam on his brakes several times to keep from hitting cars in front of him.

Attention Kansas City police detectives ... if you tailgate me, and you don't have your lights and/or sirens on, AND you hit me ... it will be bad news -- LITERALLY.
